What data we collect

Random Installation ID (UUID): A randomly generated identifier is created when the extension is first installed. This ID is not linked to your personal identity and is used solely to count active users and prevent abuse.

What data we do NOT collect

We do not access, read, or transmit your Twitter/X login cookies or credentials.
We do not collect your browsing history, personal information, or social media data.
We do not track your activity across websites.

External services

Backend API: The extension sends requests to our own backend server to fetch Twitter/X profile and tweet data for rendering. Only the requested username, tweet ID, or community ID is sent — no user credentials.
Google Translate API: When auto-translation is enabled, tweet text is sent to Google's public translation service. No personal data is included.
Twitter CDN (twimg.com): Profile images and media are loaded directly from Twitter's content delivery network.

Data storage

The installation UUID is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
Theme and language preferences are stored locally.
No data is stored on our servers beyond temporary API response caches (cleared within 60 seconds).
